Las Vegas Lights
For simplicity Circle Daybreak will be based in Las Vegas
When your characters are not at the Daybreak Mansion, and are instead around Las Vegas please RP them on this topic.
This can be anywhere, from parking slots, to parks, to malls, to coffee shops. You can meet up with other characters from other Circles here too.

Re: Las Vegas Lights
Blake trudged along the streets, his hands in his pockets as he regarded the buildings with curiosity.
Re: Las Vegas Lights
Raven looked up when she seen somebody pass by with his hands in his pockets (Blake) and she raised her eyebrows, sticking back a bit away from him.

Re: Las Vegas Lights
Blake glanced at the girl, and nodded to her. He sent her a small smile, idly wondering why the girl- who seems like a vampire- stepped back. Did he look weird or something? Maybe.
Re: Las Vegas Lights
Raven smiled back, slightly. She didn't know what to do with this person. He didn't seem.. normal. That was for sure. Mostly cause people like her usually scared off the Humans.
"Hello." She said, in what she hoped was a flattering voice.

Re: Las Vegas Lights
Blake was wary; that, he was sure of. "Greetings," he said with a small grin. He didn't want to let his extreme wariness get the best of him though. "How do you do?" he asked as he stepped closer. The spring wind was calming, and he suddenly remembered the feel of grass underneath his paws and the warm wind in the wild. Blake took a deep, wistful breath and rolled his shoulders.
Re: Las Vegas Lights
Raven noticed how wary he was and she sniffed the air slightly, freezing when she smelt the distinct smell of... animal. Wild animal, that was being tamed at the minute.
"I do good. How do you do?" She asked, the words sounding funny to her. Old fashioned.

Re: Las Vegas Lights
Blake saw the tension in the girl's stance and slightly cocked his head to the side, his tawny orange hair slightly falling over his yellow eyes. He smiled a bit. Maybe she figured out what he is?
"Ah, I'm fine. Nice evening, yeah?" he asked, slightly tilting his chin upwards to the sky. "A very nice evening to take a run. Or something."

Re: Las Vegas Lights
Raven noticed his hair, blinking at the odd color. Finding it curious. That and his eyes. How had she missed it earlier? It was obvious. The smell and the eyes did it for her.
"Yea. I'll.. be doing that later." She said, and as a warning flashed her teeth. She wasn't prey. She had to get that across.

Re: Las Vegas Lights
Blake noticed her fangs first when she smiled. It was a pretty smile, he thought. Pretty, but deadly. It's not like he was going to feed on her anyway. He doesn't feed on vampires. He's a good guy. He was raised to be a good guy. He gave her a tight smile, wondering if she was one of the bad guys.
"Same. When I find a place that's not polluted, that is," Blake said with a frown.

Re: Las Vegas Lights
Surprise flashed in Raven's eyes when he didn't really react. Most people stepped back and ran away. Some even screaming, just an added bonus.
"Yea I agree. I can't even walk down the street without stepping in anothers litter." She said, looking down and wrinlking her nose. Without argument, she wouldn't fight an innocent.

Re: Las Vegas Lights
Blake caught the surprise in her eyes. Why was she surprised? She looks young, too. But vampires, made-vampires anyway, stay at a certain age . . . forever. He wondered how old she is . . . Blake pushed the thought away and nodded.
"Yep. Especially those glass bottles." Blake raised his right hand and showed her a moderate-sized cut on his palm. He shook his head with a sigh and placed his hand back inside his pocket. "Sometimes, I wonder if humans actually care for other things rather than theirselves," he said thoughtfully.

Re: Las Vegas Lights
Raven tried to mask her feelings, even though he wasn't. That was obvious. She noticed the understanding and the question in her eyes, for which she was glad he didn't ask. Whatever it was he needed to know.
Her eyes snapped to the cut in his hand when he showed it to her and she stopped breathing. Stupid, stupid, stupid, she thought and took a small step forward. "I agree. Though, they do have many uses."

"Not what I think you're thinking of. Although it's necessary for you guys," Blake said as he smiled tightly once again. He, however, didn't step back when she stepped closer.
Blake cocked an eyebrow. "You're not planning to bite me are you?" he asked bluntly, his stance cautious and prepared- even if his hands were in his pockets.

Re: Las Vegas Lights
Raven smiled. "I'm not talking about feeding off of them. Though.. that's nice too. I mean movies. I like that one guy.. Johnney Depp? Yea him." She said and nodded.
She sniffed the air and kept a steady gaze on him, "I don't think so.." She said, slowly, closing her eyes and trying to keep control. "Keep it in your pocket." She said, quickly.

Re: Las Vegas Lights
Blake made a face. "I'm against feeding off humans," he said and shrugged. He relaxed a bit, his shoulders slightly sagging. "Ah, Johnny Depp. His movies are interesting," he said after a moment of thinking.
He nodded. "No problem, miss," Blake said and wiggled his fingers in his pocket.

Re: Las Vegas Lights
Raven blinked at him. Not feeding off of humans? Absurd.. of course, though, the nice deer was nice too. "I just.. not that much. I don't feel for gluttany." She said, slightly hurt.
"I love his roles. So odd." She said, thinking about Johnney Depp still.
Raven's eyes flashed to his fingers in his pocket and she took another step forward, "Did.. I catch your name?' She breathed out.

Re: Las Vegas Lights
"I understand," Blake said with a shrug. "It's part of nature and blah, blah, blah," he said with a chuckle. He noticed that the tone of her voice slightly changed, but he could probably be imagining things he's hearing . . .
"He is." Blake shook his head, "I mean, his roles are."
"No, I don't think so. I'm Blake Maddock," he said as he pulled out his cut-free hand from his pocket to stretch it to her. "And you are?"

Re: Las Vegas Lights
Raven's eyes snapped to his and flashed slightly. "It's not just nature. It's survival. i don't kill to feed, but I have to feed to live." She said and sighed.
She nodded and then smiled slightly, "I'm Raven. Nice to meet you Blake." She said and grabbed his hand, to shake it.
(D: Gotta go to bed! Continue tomorrow :D NIGHT!)

Re: Las Vegas Lights
((G'night Kes! Sweet dreams! :D And alright, I'll be here tomorrow WHOOO :D))
Blake nodded grimly. "Survival and nature are just two things we can't avoid. Kill to survive," he muttered.
He shook her hand, surprised at the silky feeling of her skin. "Well, it's nice to meet you too Raven."

Re: Las Vegas Lights
Raven nodded and pursed her lips. "I know. I don't like to though... does your kind have to?" She asked, tilting her head to the side.
She pulled her hand back and shuffled her feet, glancing down. "I'm kind of glad I ran into you. I wasn't doing so good.. just watching." She said, her eyes flashing to the street. More closely, the people ON the street.

Re: Las Vegas Lights
"Sadly, yes," Blake answered flatly. He wasn't proud of it, but it's not like no race kills. Humans kill. Witches kill. Vampires kill. Shapeshifters kill. If not for food, then for fun. It was just inevitable.
He slid his gaze from hers towards the people on the street. Blake glanced back at Raven, raising an eyebrow. "Oh? How come?"

Re: Las Vegas Lights
Raven nodded and some sort of sympathy filled her. Mostly because she understood. It HAD to happen, and if others found out they'd kill the idea. Not just the idea, but everything that killed. But it HAD to happen. Only thing is, she didn't thing that phrase was worth anything in court.
She shuddered and shook her head, "I haven't had anything to eat in a LONG time." She said, licking her lips.

Re: Las Vegas Lights
Blake sent her a sideward glance. Should he step in and interfere? She seems unusually understanding for a vampire; but he couldn't trust her just yet. Perhaps he should just invite Raven with him for a run in the woods . . .
With his decision being made, he turned towards Raven and slightly inclined his head to the opposite direction of the humans. "Want to hunt in the woods with me instead? Unless you really prefer feeding on them. I don't suppose I have the right to stop you until you choose to kill one."

Re: Las Vegas Lights
Kestrel walked out of a small pub, licking her lips. A sly grin tugged at the corners of her mouth as she stepped onto the sidewalk. Nothing like a quick snack. She knew a few people in the pub who were willing to be a donor for her, so things worked out nicely.
With one last grin to herself, she stuffed her hands in her pockets and made her way down the street, hoping that something else would turn up.
